The Gently Mad's

Every year, the Gently Mad Magazine hosts a contest dedicated to celebrating our wonderful contributors by offering cash prizes and a website feature. Everyone who has been published in our three issues throughout the year (from December to August) is invited to resubmit one piece for free. For those who haven't been published but still want the chance to submit, a small reading fee is required to be considered for an award. The awards are:

- The Editor's Choice for Best Poem - $40

- The Editor's Choice for Best Short Story - $40

- The Editor's Choice for Best Art Piece - $40

- The People's Choice Award - $35

The winner the People's Choice Award is decided by a general vote across our social media platforms. All our published contributors who resubmitted are automatically considered for this award. It is closed to those who submit a new piece that hasn't yet been published with us.
